ROMI (Return on Marketing Investment) is the key metric that answers one question: is advertising making money or burning it? The formula is simple: (marketing revenue − cost) / cost × 100%.
For most businesses the problem isn't the formula — it's the data. Without end-to-end analytics you don't know which channel, ad or keyword actually drives a sale and which just spends budget.
A minimal one-week system: UTM tagging on every link, passing leads into a CRM with their source, and linking 'lead → deal → amount'. Once you see the full chain, it becomes obvious what to scale and what to switch off.
